What is the applications and moving in procedure for housing assistance?
(1) Application
a) You may apply by going to the Ibaraki Housing Administration in person or by registered mail.
b) Your application is valid for 1 year. Please let us know if:
* If your place of employment changes
* If the date of your retirement changes
* If the date of your marriage changes
* If you want to apply for other housing
* If you find other housing
* If your address, names or family situation changes, etc.
(2) Application selection
a) Periodical Housing
* If there are more applications than housing, we will draw lots in public
* The day of drawing will take place in the middle of the following month
b) Any Time Housing
* If housing is available when you apply, you may reserve that spot
* If housing is not available when you apply, you will be put on a waiting list
* If information has changed on your application while on the waiting list, you must bring all required documents to be screened again
(3) Moving procedure
a) You will need a written oath with signature from a witness and a certificate with an official stamp. The Witness must also have a certificate with an official stamp.
* The witness must follow these criteria:
* Must be living or employed in Ibaraki Prefecture and must be related.
* Must be independent
* Must have more income than the person who is applying
b) You must pay a damage deposit of 2 months rent
(4) Information Meetings
a) Any Time Housing meetings are held every 2nd Thursday or Friday
* Screening and final decision of application will take place. Rules and regulations will be explained
* Official notice for moving in will take place. A key will be given to new occupants
* Generally a key will be given to the new tenants on the day of moving in.
b) Periodical Housing meetings will take place at the end of the month after receiving the application
* Official notice for moving in will take place and a key will be given to the new occupants.
* Screening and final decision of application will take place. Rules and regulations will be explained.
* The day of moving in will commence on the 1st of the month following the draw
(5) You must move in within 15 days of notice
