What are the requirements for applying for housing assistance and is there a set income level?

(1) Your Address and place of employment must be in Ibaraki Prefecture

(2) In the case of renting out to families:

a) Must be a married couple or an engaged couple with either proper documents, or if without, with valid reasons. Applications for engaged couples must be within 2 months of the day of wedding or registration

b) In some cases application is available to single renters, however you must be physically able to move and live on your own.
* Over 50 years old
* Handicapped (scale1-4)
* Atomic bomb victims authorized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
* Persons who receive Government welfare and public assistance
* Persons who were repatriated from foreign countries less than 5 years earlier

c) Application will be rejected if families are not properly registered or use false pretenses.

(3) Persons who urgently need housing or persons with their own housing will not be accepted and may not apply.

(4) Persons who have outstanding unpaid city taxes will not be accepted.

(5) Applicants must meet criterion income:
