My family is moving house. How can I transfer into a different Public Elementary, Junior and Senior High School?
Parents or Guardians must fill out a special transfer form when changing addresses. This applies only with Elementary and Junior High schools. In the case of transferring into a public high school, a different form and process is needed.
In the case of transferring Elementary or Junior High Schools
1. Inform present school of transfer
2. Receive the 2 documents for transfer (zaigaku shomei sho) (kyokasho kyuyo sho meisho)
3. Fill out a citizen's registration within 14 days of transfer. You will then receive notification from the Board of Education as to which school you can attened
4. You must attend the school according to the notification, with the 2 documents. If you have other inquiries, please call the Board of Education in your town, city or village
In the case of transferring Public High schools
1. Must pass the following conditions
* Commute is too long
* There must be no difference in curriculum at new school
* They must pass the entrance exam of new school

* The Public school you want to transfer to will have own regulations
* You must inform both the present school and intended school of the transfer
