How do I take public transport in Ibaraki?
Regular-route bus
A) How to take the bus
* Get on the bus from the back door, and do not forget to take a ticket with a number from the ticket machine at the entrance.
* When you want to get off, you have to press the button before you arrive at the destination.
* When you get off the bus, put your bus fare and the ticket with the number into the fare box next to the driver.
B) Bus fare
* Generally, bus fare will get higher with the distance.
* You will know how much your bus fare is by looking at the price list at the front of the bus.

Express bus
Covers Tōkyō, Narita Air Port, Haneda Air Port and Kansai Air Port area from various cities in Ibaraki. Ask each bus company about their individual bus fares and timetable.
Taxi
A)How to take a taxi
* Flag down a cruising taxi.
* Get in the taxi at the taxi stand on the main street or by train stations.
* Call a taxi company to pick you up. There is an extra charge for pick up for most companies.
B)Taxi fares
* Depends on the mileage. You can see the mileage and your fare on the meter box in the taxi. There is a 20% surcharge from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am. Most companies have a flagfall of 660 yen for 2 kms
