The Dream Spirit

It was a long time ago. A man from the town of Fukui was on his way to the capital. He woke at the very first ray of light and set off into the countryside. Soon after, he noticed a structure ahead, which looked like a sort of funeral monument. At the top of it, an animal that looked like a chicken started to head for him. As the scene became clearer, he saw that the thing he mistook for a chicken was actually a woman's head, and it was coming in his direction, laughing!

When he saw this creature, the man took his saber and got ready to fight but, to his surprise, the woman's head-like ghost started to fly away. The man decided that he wanted to know more about this spirit and started to head after it. The creature finally reached the town of Fuchiyu and snuck inside a house through a window. The man approached the window when he suddenly heard a woman's cry: "My God! I had a horrible nightmare! I was walking outside when suddenly a man pursued me in order to kill me!"

It was actually a "Ghost Spirit" that enjoyed the sleep of the woman to escape from her mind and wander the country. . . .
