Message from the Editor

Dear readers of E-Ibaraki Report,

I was struggling against the white page syndrome for this month's editor's note when I realized that it has been 2 years already since we launched this website. So happy birthday to E-Ibaraki Report!

Birthdays are opportunities to look back at achievements. The website has improved (new skin, easier use) but can do better of course, thanks to your comments and suggestions. In terms of content, we have put on line about 200 different articles ranging from tourist information to guidance about law. We do hope this site is useful to you. Especially, we would be very happy to hear about the different festivals you have been to after using our monthly events list. Next month is full of events. It is already momiji (gt) time as we are writing this note and I encourage you to appreciate it. Autumn can be depressing to some of you out there since it announces a cold winter. Well, after the terribly hot and humid summer we had this year, it is probably time to think about autumn and winter in a different way. It's going to really cool down from this point, and I personally have nothing against it :)

P.S.: I wish our new colleague from Australia were the big focus of this month. I could have titled it Nov-Amber. . . .
