Message from the Editor

Hi, your Web Editor Jonathan here. I'm writing the editor's note this month for three reasons: Aurélien just got back from a trip and is still jet lagged; this is my last month working for the Ibaraki Prefectural Government and consequently my last month on the E-Ibaraki Report; and I want to apologize for the lateness of this month's issue, which is due to technical issues.

With that said, please enjoy the last few weeks of tsuyu (”~‰J), or the rainy season. People tend to look at me funny when I say "enjoy" tsuyu, but I think it's a heck of a lot more comfortable than the sweltering hot midsummer that follows. So to me, another week or two of tsuyu means another week or two before the hammer of damp heat falls.
