Kasamatsu Sports Park (Hitachinaka)

Kasamatsu Sports Park was built as a main stadium for the 29th National Athletic Meet in 1974. Facilities include tennis courts, a gymnasium, a track field, and a baseball field. Kasamatsu is utilized for most high-profile recreational sports recreation activities in Ibaraki.

Information

Open:

  • From 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Dec. 1st to Mar. 31st)
  • From 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Apr. 1st to Nov. 30th)

Days closed:

  • The 1st Wednesday of every month (Except when Wednesday is a national holiday, in which case the park is closed the following Thursday)

By train and bus:

  • 10 minutes by Ibaraki Kōtsū bus No.35 from the JR Jōban Line's Tōkai station; get off at Kasamatsu Undō-kōen mae.
    30 minutes by Ibaraki Kōtsū bus No.35 from the JR Jōban Line's Mito station; get off at Kasamatsu Undō-kōen mae
